History

Red Deer Systems has been providing information technology systems and services to businesses throughout Southern California for more than 15 years. 

When the company was established in 1986, there were few consulting and training firms dedicated to providing software solutions to small- to medium-sized companies.  The options for these companies, it seemed, were to purchase an off-the-shelf product with limited flexibility, or for larger companies, to commit to a major expenditure on a mid-range system from the likes of IBM. 

In effect, the market lacked a sales, service and support alternative that gave businesses the opportunity to take advantage of spectacular gains in PC processing power and networking capabilities - especially those businesses that needed it most.

Where we Meet the Market

We are experienced software and hardware specialists who work with smaller, medium-sized and larger companies to select, install, implement, and maintain effective, cost-efficient business systems.  We deliver world-class information systems and services backed by vigorous training, customer support and maintenance.  

We represent a number of PC Magazine "Editor's Choice" software products, including Exact Software's Macola, e-Synergy and Event Manager.   We also proudly offer  Flexibility, a new, powerful addition to Macola's Progression Series Software, Bar Coding, EDI, CRM, Warehouse Management, Web based orders and shipping solutions for Macola Software.

In addition, Red Deer Systems is San Diego's exclusive authorized reseller for SKYLINE, the nationally acclaimed property management system, and Elliott-a combination of Macola V6.0 with the Y2K correction plus feature rich enhancements. 

Backed by 20 years of hands-on experience, we specialize in inventory control; manufacturing, distribution, and accounting systems; real estate and property management information systems; contact management; and PC networks.  The expertise of our programmers includes MicroFocus Cobol, Visual Basic, Crystal Reports, and Access.    

Our goal is to provide customers with state-of-the-art systems backed by vigorous support, training and maintenance. Our training staff includes Macola Certified Trainers (CMTs) and Macola certified consultants in MPC (Manufacturing, Planning and Control) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).  Other staff certifications include Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Certified Novell Administrator, and A+ Technician.  We are also pursuing certification as a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider.

  Red Deer Systems is ranked among Macola's top 10 resellers internationally and the top 5 resellers in the US Western Region, having been named five times to Macola's President's Council-most recently in 2005. Also in 2005, Red Deer was recognized at the reseller with the "Best Customer Service" by Exact Software.
